I understand that PawSpa’s 1st priority is my pets comfort. And in the event that my pets coat is matted I understand that the groomer may have to shave the coat rather than put my pet through a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that in the event that my pets coat is severly matted that there is a risk of clipper burn and cuts to the skin. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many cases of extreame matting this is unavoidable. I also understand that if a pet is matted this takes longer time to groom therefore there maybe an additional charge applied to my regular groom price if my pets coat is matted.
I understand that grooming can be a stressful event for some pets. I will inform the groomer if my pet has any heart conditions or stress related skin conditions prior to the groom. I will also make sure I have my pet up to date with his vaccinations prior to his visit to PawSpa amd that if my pet is not I will inform the groomer on arrival with my pet.
In the event of an emergency I authorise PawSpa to immediately seek professional veternairy attention (at my expense) I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.
I understand that if I am late for my appointment that a late fee may apply or in some cases a cancellation charge may apply if appointment needs to be rearranged due to the time elapsed. I understand that if I am late collecting my pet that I may be charged a late fee for every 30 mins that elapses over the agreed pickup time.
I understand that I the Owner/Agent MUST inform PawSpa if your pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or is aggressive due to specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Wearing a muzzle will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. PawSpa reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet at any time before or during the grooming process, and charge an Aggressive Dog Fee in addition to the regular grooming charge.
I understand that if my dog is too excited and as a result is substantially difficult
to be groomed, that this may take extra time to be groomed and therefore incur an additional charge of £5 per 30 minutes’ delay.
I understand there is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming
equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible
problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases
this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. If you arrive to pick up your pet
and it is still being groomed, please do NOT talk to it or allow it to see you. Sit quietly, or
step outside for a few moments. Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as
safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on. If you insist
on talking to your pet, or the groomer, we reserve the right to end the grooming session,
even if the groom is not completed, and the full grooming price will be charged.
If you suspect your pet has fleas or ticks, prompt and thorough action on YOUR
part is needed. Flea infestations can lead to tapeworm and other health problems. If fleas or
ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will be treated with a natural product
to kill the parasites and will be charged for. Please note – PawSpa will not use pesticide dips
or sprays on your pet. Ticks found will be removed for an additional charge. If ticks are
found, we strongly suggest you have your pet tested for Lyme Disease. Please note that
parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as to humans.
We do not have boarding facilities. If your dog is not picked up by closing for
the day, an additional £30 kennel charge may also apply.
No shows and last minute cancellations are subject to a £20 fee PER PET which will be billed accordingly. Pre-Payment for same will be required before another appointment is booked. We understand there may be emergency situations and will work with you, but not on a continued basis.
Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business, and another client could have taken your appointment if we had known. Note: Clients <15 minutes’ late risk losing their appointment without notice and a late charge applied to next visit.
